Summer Orchestra Camp

Every summer, I bring together young musicians for an exciting and engaging orchestra camp where they can continue playing and improving on their string instruments. I understand how important it is for students to keep their skills sharp over the summer months so they return to their school orchestra programs feeling confident and ready. That’s why I arrange music specifically for my students, ensuring each player has a part that is both fun and appropriately challenging.

I focus on pop music selections, which makes learning more exciting and keeps students motivated. My camp is designed for students who have completed at least one year of orchestra, from beginner fourth graders to intermediate middle schoolers. It’s a great opportunity for them to play with other young musicians, build friendships, and grow as performers.

I also invite guest artists each summer, giving students a chance to learn from and be inspired by professional musicians. The camp is not just about improving technical skills but also about making music in a collaborative and supportive environment. Playing during the summer ensures that students don’t lose progress and are well-prepared for their school orchestra programs when the new academic year begins. Each day is filled with rehearsals, sectionals, and interactive activities designed to strengthen musical skills while keeping students engaged.

I provide hands-on guidance to ensure that every musician, regardless of experience level, feels confident and excited about their progress. Beyond the music, my camp fosters a sense of teamwork, creativity, and self-expression, helping students develop not just as performers but as individuals. The final performance is always a highlight, giving students the chance to showcase their hard work in front of friends and family and experience the joy of sharing music with an audience.
